Tempe area of North Vancouver has been developed in the last two decades. Being a modern area of North Vancouver, and also being composed of mainly single family residences, Tempe houses tend to be large floor areas on small lots. Tempe is part of the City of North Vancouver and the area was one of the last remaining land holdings the city owned. There are few tall trees in this area so there tends to be lots of light coming into the residences there. There is one elementary school in the area, (Boundary Elementary) and the nearest high school is Sutherland Senior Secondary in Boulevard area.
